1.What is your hypothesis?
If puppy urine leaves stains on your cement, then how much bleach diluted in water would be needed to completely remove traces of the stain?
2.Identify the dependent (produced), independent (manipulated) and control variables in your hypothesis.
Dependent Variable(s): how much of the stain that gets removed.
Independent Variable(s): how much bleach and water i use.
Control Variable(s): the diet of the puppy, which chemical and what type of water i use.
3. What is the connection between your science fair project and your senior project EQ?
Since my E.Q. is "What is the best way to raise and train a guide dog?" i figured it relates because i have to raise my puppy, so i have to meet every need the puppy has whether it be hygiene, feeding, or pee breaks. When i remove the urine from her pee grounds (as i call it) i am helping to keep her healthy by keeping her area clean.
4. How will you perform the experiment? Include the equipment you plan on using.
Materials
I will perform this experiment outside in my back yard. I will label every pee stain my puppy has produced, and for every different pee spot i will use a different concentration of bleach that will be diluted by distilled water. I will then photograph each stain daily, to see the progress.
