Introduction: Hello everyone my name is Tanya Figueroa; this is my assistant Emanuel and my guide dg puppy in training Havana. My essential question is what is the best way to raise and train a guide dog? When I say guide dog I mean a dog that has been specifically trained to lead visually impaired people around various obstacles. My plan for the day is to first address my E.Q., show my product and conclude with my conclusion.

Foundation: For foundation I will be talking and explaining the puppy breeder program. The students will need to know key G.D.A. terms that I am going to be teaching them.

A 1: Consistency when teaching the G.D.A commands         Time: 9 min
Information taught: In this section I will be teaching the importance of having consistency when teaching the G.D.A commands. During the presentation I may start doing demonstration with my puppy depending on how she is behaving.

Answer 1 Activity:
Time: 7 min
1. Activity is a video.
2. I will have a video of a trainer training their dog with consistency and I will have the students tell me how the trainer is being consistent.
3. This activity relates to my answer because I am teaching the importance of consistency when teaching the G.D.A. commands and I will have a trainer showing how consistency is done.
4. Internet connection, projector and paper for the students to write what they see.

A 2: Praise after doing a command correctly                Time: 9 min
Information taught: In this section I will teach different forms of praise and which is used by the G.D.A program and why. During the presentation I may start doing demonstration with my puppy depending on how she is behaving.

Answer 2 Activity: Time: 10 min
1. Use my puppy to show consistency.
2. I will have the students stand in a circle around me and my puppy Havana. I will first demonstrate what I want from them, then I will ask a student to do what I just did.
3. This activity relates to my E.Q. because the name of the game is called the name game in the name game we first call the puppy then praise, ask her to sit, praise and finally ask her to stand then praise again.
4. One puppy and treats to keep the puppies attention.

Answer 3: Proper use of baby gates                         Time: 6 min

Best Answer:    Time 1 min
After doing all my service learning I feel that the best answer I have is consistency when teaching the Guide Dogs of America commands.

Sources:          Time: 1:30 min
1. G.D.A. Puppy Manual, book

2. Cindy Miller area puppy leader, interview

3. Carol Kopman, interview

Product:            Time: 1 min
My product is that I am now a better dog trainer, when I  first started I really had no idea what to do and how to deal with a puppy but now I am more confident when training her and I am able to react  better to her different actions.

Conclusion:      Time: 1 min.
In conclusion my E.Q. is, what is the best way to raise and train a guide dog and my best answer to my E.Q. is consistency when teaching the G.D.A commands.
